International bakery-café chain Paris Baguette is opening its first Miami location at Strata Wynwood, 2217 N. Miami Avenue, bringing its signature pastries, cakes, breads, and specialty coffee to one of the city’s most dynamic neighborhoods. The café is in its final permitting stages, with a grand opening targeted for late June 2026.

Franchisee Cesar Paoli is leading the Miami expansion and confirmed that additional locations are already in development for Pinecrest and Coral Springs. Paoli cited the quality of Paris Baguette’s products as his primary motivation for bringing the brand to the market, describing himself as a foodie who would not invest in a concept he did not personally believe in.

Founded in South Korea in 1988, Paris Baguette has grown from a single bakery into one of the world’s largest bakery-café brands, with more than 4,000 locations across Asia, Europe, North America, and the Middle East. The chain operates more than 300 cafés in the United States and Canada, combining European-inspired baking traditions with a modern café format optimized for quick service.

The Wynwood location positions Paris Baguette at the intersection of several thriving Miami neighborhoods — Wynwood, Edgewater, and Midtown — where foot traffic from residents, workers, and tourists supports a dense concentration of food and beverage businesses. Paoli emphasized that the fast-service model and convenient location would appeal to on-the-go Miamians.

Miami’s bakery and café market has seen significant expansion as national and international brands compete for share in a market characterized by strong consumer spending and a culture of dining out. The entry of Paris Baguette adds to the growing diversity of the city’s food retail landscape, which ranges from local Cuban bakeries to global chains.

Industry observers note that franchise-led expansion by international brands continues to be a defining feature of Miami’s retail growth, with the region’s population gains and tourism recovery creating sustained demand for new dining options.
